Since its inception, the folklore ensemble Rovina has functioned as an amateur artistic body representing the dance and music culture of eastern Slovakia. It focuses mainly on songs, dances, and melodies from Dolný Zemplín and Šariš. The main goal of the ensemble is to preserve and enrich the culture of folk art, to stylize musical and dance folklore, as well as to perform at various domestic and foreign folklore festivals and competitions. Rovina, which has been expanding its activities since February 28, 2002, with its artistic director and choreographer Viktor Ťasko, consists of approximately 40 dancers. Hundreds of performances at home and abroad prove their quality and honest work. Repertoire: members of the folklore ensemble Rovina dance various types of dances. It includes csárdás, karička, boy‘s dances in front of musicians, Šariš csárdás, waltz, polka, recruit dances and dance according to a native of the village of Dlhé Klčovo, the representative of folk traditions, Juraj Šaffa. "Rukovačka" is the name of a joint work of art by the folklore ensemble Rovina and the singing group Rovina. It shows a rotation of dance, singing, and music connected to the war period.
